Party... Help??

One of my friends is having a sweet sixteen party in a couple of weeks. It going to be a really big party but her fear is it being boring and people not wanting to dance. She wants it to be a really good party. Do any of you have ideas on how it can be a really good party?

Make sure the music's good. People like getting free stuff so pass out cool favors or give prizes for something...best dancer or have quick contests every so often to keep people participating. My cousin's party passed out glowy thingies so the kids could use while they danced at night, everyone liked that.

Reply:You can hire a juke box for the night. This way the guest chooses what music they want to hear. This will make sure their faveriot tunes are playing and they are more likely to dance.

Dance contest with different types of music - reggae, latin beats, etc.
Reply:1st, invite as many people as u can plus extra! 2nd go nuts w/ decorations (bright colors make people go crazy)! 3rd Music! ask any one that has an amp to bring one and plug them all into something and crank up the volume! 4th bake stuff to make the house smell good! 5th pay some nerd to dress up in a stupid costume.
