2 party sysytem in USA.. whats the difference?

# "In the United States, the political system is a very marginal affair. There are two parties, so-called, but they're really factions of the same party, the Business Party. Both represent some range of business interests. In fact, they can change their positions 180 degrees, and nobody even notices. In the 1984 election, for example, there was actually an issue, which often there isn't. The issue was Keynesian growth versus fiscal conservatism. The Republicans were the party of Keynesian growth: big spending, deficits, and so on. The Democrats were the party of fiscal conservatism: watch the money supply, worry about the deficits, et cetera. Now, I didn't see a single comment pointing out that the two parties had completely reversed their traditional positions. Traditionally, the Democrats are the party of Keynesian growth, and the Republicans the party of fiscal conservatism. So doesn't it strike you that something must have happened? Well, actually, it makes sense. Both parties are

2 party sysytem in USA.. whats the difference?
First of all, let's dispel a couple myths:

#1 The US has a two party system: FALSE. Two parties currently hold the vast majority of offices, but anyone from any party can be elected. There are a number of "third parties" in the US. Some are extremists, most are moderate, and many are a mix of Democrat and Republican stances. The Democrats and Republicans have successfully brainwashed the American people into thinking there is some two party system. There is NOT.

#2 Voting for a third party candidate is "throwing away your vote" because "they can never get elected": FALSE. Voting for a candidate/party you only partially agree with because they're a member of one of the two major parties is throwing away your vote. Why? You vote is your voice. If you cast it for someone you don't totally agree with then you're essentially throwing it away. Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. Vote for who you want in office with complete disregard for their perceived electability. Third party candidates are consistently winning more and more local and state offices. The federal government is next.

US Politics isn't professional sports. You don't pick a team and support and cheer for it no matter what. Dispense with the Republicans vs. Democrats crap and maybe there will actually be some progress in the federal government.

CHOOSE A THIRD PARTY!

REGISTER THIRD PARTY!

VOTE THIRD PARTY!

Reply:There is no difference.
Reply:"The Democratic Party is a party of no ideas and the Republican Party is a party of bad ideas." And when they work together...

Rep. "I got a really sh*tty idea!"

Dem. "And I can make it sh*ttier!"

Reply:none, they are all friends and act like they are enemies
Reply:The real difference between the two parties at this time in history is what special interests they pander to and court. Beyond that I see little difference overall.
Reply:The problem with the two parties is that there IS no difference. They are both willing to sell the US out to the highest bidder.

The US is in trouble if Ron Paul is not elected...Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate which talks the truth and actually doesn't have double talk like the others. His intent is to save the US from the Corp. which is why he is so dangerous to the elite!
