Party theme for an 18th?

My 18th is coming up and im going to have a party. At first I was going to have a fully blown Fancy dress costume party but i realised that would be a lot of effort for everyone so now i thought i might have a Hat party where everyone comes wearing a really silly/crazy hat. But im having doubts im just worried it might be a dud :( I was gonna make it a "Hat, Mask or Wig" party but I dunno if I should or if I should just leave it as a Mad hat party. now im starting to think i should just have no theme. What should I do???!!! What are some good themes for a party?

Reply:Congratulations on your 18th it's a great time of your life. Can i suggest a "Letter Party" i.e if your name was Sally or Steve you would have an "S" party or if your christian name proves too difficult maybe your surname or any other letter that may be significant in your life. I had a "P" party and for some strange reason a lot of my friends came as Piss Pots - says a lot about what we all did back then doesn't it - lol. Have fun!!!!

Reply:You could have an 80's party or a luau - all depends on how much effort you want to put into decorating. The more you decorate, the more festive it will be - people who dress up will simply add to the atmosphere and that way you don't have to depend on people dressing up to make it a theme party (so if some people don't dress up, the ones who do won't feel silly)
