Lame party?

okay i wanna have a party and book one from glamourdivagirls.com and it would be so cool to plan the glamour diva one but they charge you per each girl to attend.its like a fashion show with dresses make-up nails colored hair-spray and hair excesories.they bring you food and all you have to pay for is the girls that are attending.my mom said i cant plan a party and it has to be cheap and original and i hate that.i told my friends i was gonna have a party but they are gonna help me plan it.now im thinking i should of never told them because im thinking of canceling the party because my mom is being cheap and if i have a cheap party everybody is gonna talk about me and leave my party.i dont want a cheap party and its gonna be lame anyways.what should i do.?should i cancel it?should i have a cheap party?should i raise enough money till may?am i gonna have enough time toraise the money?please help.im stuck between popularity and a cheap party.

Judging from the glamourdiva website, I'm assuming that you're still in elementary or middle school. $125 and $16 per person is expensive unless you're going to ask each girl/boy at the party to pay for themselves. If this is for your birthday, maybe you should try to come up with as much money as possible by babysitting, tutoring, etc. and ask your mother nicely to cover for the rest of the money you couldn't come up with as your birthday present.

Reply:good music + good food = good party as long as there are fun activities... you dont have to spend alot of money... I mean when I have parties (but keep in mind I'll be 21 on march 6th) we just buy some alcohol (not to get plastered but to feel good) buy some snacks and put some cds in the dvd player or hook up my ipod... instant party (we just act goofy, play made up games, play texas hold em poker, even dance) me and my friend one time even made our bfs go outside while we made up a dance to "my humps" lol then we showed them when we were finished (even though now that I think about it we looked totally retarded lol!) you can have fun doin stuff like that (minus the alcohol of course)....

but on the cheap note, one of my favorite parties, my friend threw one in her back yard and had one of our friend's band play and it was a great time
Reply:who cares if the party is cheap i like fat cats idea just do a makeover party. or........ i just got an idea you can have a prank war party! go 2 the dollar store and but prank stuff u can send mini pranks as favors and serve silly food and you do the rest it would be great!
Reply:Don't worry. if ur friends talk ba about you, what kind of friends are those?!? If they are true friends they wont talk about you, cheap partys can be very fun! try a makeover party and get make up from the dollar store.
