Im having a hawiian themed pool party for my 12 b-day. any ideas for games?

While there are no particular games historically associated with a Hawaiian luau, this traditional island feast presents a good opportunity for all guests to enjoy themselves and try some new activities





Sing Pearly Shells and other island songs.


Set up an island song karaoke machine.


Play "name that tune" with island songs


Learn to do a simple hula.


Try the Tahitian tamure dance.


Learn to tie a pareo (sarong or beach wrap) several different ways


Make a lei out of flowers (give a prize for the best)


Make a lei out of unusual materials (give a prize for the best)


Try to crack a coconut


Have a poi eating contest

Buy a coconut (or use one of our plastic coconut cups and hide a prize inside), put on the Hawaiian Luau Music and pass the coconut from person to person; when the music stops, the person holding the coconut is out. Keep this going until there is just one person left holding the coconut....the one without the coconut cup wins the prize inside the coconut.
