Halloween Party?????

I'm thinking of hosting a halloween party at a party room. I need help on the food, the guests, and the activities.

Guests: fifth graders-- so it's not like a boyfriend/girlfriend party. It's a normal party, u know, people chat and eat and dance, have fun, etc. But who should I invite? If I invite the whole fifth grade, chances are, some of the "disgusting", "weird", and "annoying" boys with come too, and the girls will KILL me for it. But if I only invite a few people, maybe not all of them can come, and I want the party to have lots of people and lots of fun! What should I do? Although I don't want it to be a bf/gf party, I want boys %26amp; girls. Help!

Food: each guest will pay some party fee (for the food, etc.) so the money part is settled, but what kind of food? And drinks? Activities: I'm thinking of dancing (up-beat music)... what kind of music? Any other possible activities/games?

Please give me advice %26amp; tips on the party in general, as well as the guests, food, etc. Thanks!!!

Try this website- some of it is a little young but its a place for ideas. Dry ice is always fun and makes the haunted feeling because of the steam- don't touch it with your bare hands though.

Good luck!

Reply:Invite people you like! Just do it privately so you aren't forced into inviting someone you don't want there.

I recently wrote a Halloween party blog. Maybe you can get some ideas there of what to do. Plus I'll be posting a blog entry on Halloween games soon, so you might want to check back.
Reply:Just invite your friends (or your childs friends). If you invite the whole class you would have plenty of people, but you don't want the "weird" kids to mess things up.

Food: buy snacks that can be eaten easily and quickly. Don't go to all the trouble of making a cake or anything cuz no one will want to sit around and take the time to eat it. Stuff like pretzels, chips, veggies, soda, water, cookies, and turkey rolls (just turkey rolled up and inside is cream cheese and letuce and stuff like that) are good because the kids can just pick it up, eat it, and go back to dancing. DO NOT BUY DIP. Kids will be double dipping and that just says germ central. It will also be messy. For dancing...I don't know about you, but I wasn't really into dancing when I was in fifth grade, I liked games. Boys and girls don't really dance in fifth grade. Just do simple halloween games and you can look for those on google.
