Party and Money issues!?

I'm a 16 year old male hosting a party for an average group of 35 friends. I am having my band play, and two other bands play. I want to buy Pizza, Soda, and Chips. I only have 50 dollars! The guests are already invited and I am not going to cancel this party. The party begins on August 30th, at 4:30 PM, Eastern Time! Are there any quick ways to make money? I am unemployed at the moment. And I need to know what I can do! Suggestions are greatly appreciated. Also...any good ideas for a party of 14-16 year olds. Also...how much money do you think I will need, and how many party size pizzas, and 2-liter sodas!?

Party and Money issues!?
I take it you are not charging for admission or anything huh? 50 bucks and 35 people plus band mates? You do know math don't you? People usually throw parties like this to RAISE money, now you are in a situation to have to RAISE money for a party. Think that makes little sense. You have a few choices. You should tell those invited to bring something. (soda, chips, eats) which could save your butt. You can offer to mow lawns or something, but that is not guaranteed income. Nah scratch that, just go with the, tell your guest to bring something to get in deal. Use the 50 bucks to buy something, like sodas, and chips and maybe dominions will have that up to 5 pizzas for 5 bucks each deal. But you will be cutting it close. If you had a friend that works in one of those pizza joints I would call in a favor. Good luck and plan better next time LOL...
Reply:50 dollars isn't going to buy you too much food.

Maybe you can ask your parents for help..instead of buying you a gift for your birthday, have them help you with the expenses for your party.
Reply:To make money easy and fast. 1. ask your parents 2. you could do a garage sale 3. you could run a car wash 4. you could borrow money from one of your close friends. you will need around $100+ . Hey you're already half way there :)

you could have a karaoke machine and have all kinda games.

You will need 10 large pizzas and some potato chips you will also need 8 2-litter sodas.

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN AT UR PARTY!!!!!
Reply:Make it a potluck party… Sounds weird at the moment, but if you can convince a few of your close friends to help you prepare for the party by chipping in for the food and/or drinks, because money is tight, then the present from them would be their time, energy and some food (what they agree to bring) to help you get this party going instead of canceling.

Depending on your friends and their families (they have to provide the food and cook it too), this could be a really be a good party with everybody chipping in or a really bad disappointment if they expect a catered event…

$50 dollars only covers the cake and maybe a few plastic knifes and spoons… Something to think about.

Good luck
Reply:To make money: Cut some of your neighbors lawns...do their yard work...clean there gutters....etc.

For 35 kids you will need probably $150-$200 dollars for pizza, chips and soda. You will need at a minimum.... 2-3 slices per person, and 3 drinks per person. That is at least 10 pizza's and 8 2-liter bottles of soda. Figure on 4-6 bags of chips. As far as party ideas, you already have a great one by having some bands play.
Reply:get the cheap $5 at little ceasar's.

chips- buy generic and empty it out in bowls (4 bags is more than enough. buy pretzels, peanuts- whatever's cheaper). from past experience, people won't eat chips if there's pizza...

or the pizza will be gone by the time people get there.

you can try hot dogs. remember that you can get bread and hot dogs really cheap at walmart.

opt for soda bottles and 8oz plastic cups, and have them label their cups with a permanent marker cause then you'll have enough cups.

if you buy cans, it'll be more expensive, and they never finish all of it, and they open another can. i don't know how many half full cans we used to throw away.

for a "cooler" or "ice chest", put a stopper in a sink, and put ice in it place the bottles there to keep them cool. then just let the melted ice drain.

10 pizzas will prob be too much.

we ordered 4 pizzas for 20 people, and we barely ate half. not everyone will eat.
