Which Party Will Win In 2008 -- Republicans -- Moveon -- Or The Party Formerly Known As The Democratic Party?

Let's see , the republicans have 3 maybe 4 real contenders - Guiliani , Thompson , Romney , and maybe McCain .

The Moveon Party has a few contenders of their own - Hillary , Obama , and maybe Edwards (but probably not Edwards).

The Party formerly known as the Democratic Party has one -- Joe Biden .

Note : Biden was the only honorable formerly democratic candidate to condemn an attack on another honorable man 4-Star General David Petraeus .

So which party will win ?

Which Party Will Win In 2008 -- Republicans -- Moveon -- Or The Party Formerly Known As The Democratic Party?
God I hope Hilary doesnt win. I am an abashed Republican, (voted for G.W. twice) who is terrified of having another Clinton in the White House! Do you think she will win? Throw me a bone!!
Reply:I would vote for anyone that represented the GOP, so Guiliani , Thompson , Romney , and McCain are out

I'd much prefer any of the Dem's over this sort of Military-industrial theocracy

what I'd really like to see is a moderate independent

Ron Paul is interesting, but he's not a neo-con ... he's much more of a traditional conservative
Reply:The Democrats will win the Presidency and pick up congressional seats only because of the awful legacy of the George W. Bush Administration.
Reply:Democrats will win.

The desperate attacks by Republicans on an unaffiliated private organization are proof of this fear.

McCain is the only viable candidate on your list of Republicans.

The only real conservative running is Ron Paul, you left him off of your list. How unlike a true conservative.
Reply:no one cares about the stupid move on website as much as you. why don't you "move on" and just drop it. yes they said terrible things about an honorable man who serves our country. you think Petreaus gives a hoot? No. so will you just please move on yourself?

I think the Dems will sweep the next election. I wish Biden was the front runner, and I wish McCain was the (R) front runner, but oh well.
Reply:The GOP will win.

BTW: For those who bring up the swift boat vets let me remind you of something.

Bush said he wish ALL attack ads stop.

Kerry wanted ONLY the Swift Boat Vets to stop.

moveon.org has help the conservative base to wake up to the fact if they stay home like they did in 06 what will happen.
Reply:The republicans will. Most Americans aren't going to allow themselves to be influenced nor owned and operated by a far left web site (like some we know).
Reply:The new MoveOn.org/Democrat Party will run Hillary and lose big time!

EDIT

Let me see. The Swift Boat Guys actually served with Kerry. They were fellow officers. Almost all of them said Kerry was a fraud.

MoveOn.org is a bunch of liberal whack jobs that did not know General Patreaus from a hole in the ground. Yet they called him a liar anyway.
Reply:Biden:

...will not get the nomination. He is too angry and can not get the support he needs. Niether Democrats nor Republicans like getting yelled at.

McCain:

...is a Hawk. Considering that nearly 72% of the nation is opposed to the war, you have to admire his steadfastness but, this is the worst time in since Viet Nam to be a Hawk.

He's too scary to too many people.

Giuliani:

...I think is the best man for the job. He really is fiscally conservative as opposed to Bush...He is tough on terror and not the choice of Osama Bin Laden...He's tough on crime...He's the most likely to be able to reach across party lines...He's not a thick headed rightest when it comes to abortion and gun control...He's a proven leader and manager...He has a thick skin.

However, he can't win.

You don't get the Mafia out of NY and solve crime in a city like NY without developing some skeletons in your closet. Hillary knows where all his bodies are buried and will wipe the floor with him. He will not be able to shake his approach to illegals in NY even though he had no choice. His personal life, the fact that he is Catholic, from NY and Italian are huge liabilities that I don't think he can overcome with his one dimensional "I was mayor during 9-11" campaign. His campaign manager is young and inexperienced and should be fired and soon.

Edwards:

...can't even get his neighbors to vote for him.

Obama:

....is a young black male. He is not going to be the president of the United States. There is a huge block of people in this country that are not going to vote for him just because he is black. There is a huge block of people who are going to vote now, where they never have before and will cast that vote for a Republican just because a black man is running as a democrat. If Colin Powell couldn't do it, this kid has no shot.

Hillary Clinton:

...has a core group of people in the US, both Republican and Democrat that just absolutely hate her. They would vote for Daffy Duck to keep her out of the White House and no other candidate has that problem. As you say, she now has another problem. Her association, real or perceived, with moveon.org is not going away. It has hurt her and it is going to get worse. Every cub reporter in the business is going to be on a crusade to expose her campaign finance indiscretions. She is now in a mud-slinging battle with John Edwards and will turn even more people away from the party.

Her health plan is nothing more than a reconstituted version of her last plan that was ripped by every left leaning academic available for comment. When he was running for President, Walter Mondale said: "Taxes will have to go up, my opponent won't tell you that, I just did". He is now a pathetic, irrelevant old man. She hasn't noticed and is doing the same thing. If Hillary thinks she is going to win the White House promising higher taxes, she's more deluded than I thought. If she does win, the American people are.

In 2006, the neo cons were consistently criticizing Bush for his failure to get hold of spending and rejecting the opportunity to veto. They sat that election out and contributed to the Democratic win in congress. Their thinking was; Give them enough rope to hang themselves and they will. They were right. The Democrats did not disappoint bringing the congress to its' lowest rating in history in record time and not delivering on a single promise.

The neo cons will not sit this election out. They will eventually endorse a candidate.

Thompson will fail to gain traction and Romney will get the nod.

Romney:

....is a proven businessman. He knows how to earn money and knows how not to waste it. His health care plan already works. He is fond of the vetos that Bush was afraid to use. He will not raise taxes but will raise revenue. He will get the Europeans to take a greater role in the war on terror and solving their own regional problems.

Romney will be your next President. Write it down!
Reply:Republican

WooHoooo Celebrate Good Times Come On
Reply:A year before the election of '92 Bush, the other one, was riding on near all time high approval ratings. It is impossible to know how things will turn out in politics this far in advance.
Reply:I think the Republican party will surprise everyone and win both the Presidency and retake both houses of Congress due to the conservatives returning to the fold and voting this time.
Reply:The GOP will 'carry the day.' The GOP has a very loyal voter base. This 'silent majority' is enough to win the White House. The only reason the Dems. won in 2006 is the conservative voter stayed home.
Reply:I hope aliens invade the planet before then and take over .
Reply:McCain? a "contender"?

i mean this as sincerely as possible: i am so glad most people disagree with your obviously mistaken opinions.

i will not be voting for the party "formerly known as the republican party"....you know, that party that alleges small government and less spending, then grows the government and its budged and spends more than any other president in history. yeah that party.
Reply:until the repubs apologize for the numerous attacks by the swift boat vets - nothing will be said about the moveon.org ad.

repubs will wrap themselves in indignant self righteousness when a decorated vet (of their own is attacked) but will gloat viciously when decorated heroes, kerry, clelland and even mccain are attacked.

cons seem to have very selective piety and patriotism - and are simply not to be taken seriously any longer.

can't have it both ways.

period.
Reply:I fear the Moveon Party and the Democrats will lose by telling people they will burden the citizen with foolish tax and regulation increases allowing the Republicans to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and we will remain in Iraq fighting an unwinable, ill-advised war.
Reply:The cards say

Republican

The truth is the Commie left owns defeat and this will be the biggest yet and we might even see some of them move on (moveon) to France or Canada( please God do this one thing as I know you are there) A little faith to tick off the left some more with an open prayer.

But they may not go which would be to bad but in keeping with their never keeping promises like the many others when GWB won said they would do or to ride poverty with the great sanctity or many others like they said they would cut and run if they won and they could not and did not.

Tick you on the Left off Good.
Reply:Screw the Republicans and General Petraeus, I have no respect for the Puppets of George W Bush.
Reply:For the sake of our Country and the World I hope the Republicans!! MOVEON SHOULD JUST MOVE ON OUT OF HERE and The DEM'S THAT TAKE MONEY OR DO NOT DENOUNCE THEM!!!!
Reply:Because of how criminal every Republican president for the last 40 years has proven to be, a Democratic presidency will be upcoming, for better or worse.
Reply:HYPOTHETHICAL QUESTION

If Bill Clinton had a General (under his command) tell America that "He didn't have sex with that woman"

would that general be unquestioned as to his motives?

or could it be------the General said what his boss wanted?
Reply:Republican party all the way.
