B-Day Party !!!?

My 2 yr old boy had a party last weekend , at a park %26amp; a family friend dressed as a clown to entertain the kids, it was most family %26amp; some friends he had fun and so as the rest of us ..... My brother-in -law wife thinks parties it's just a way to spend money with no need she has 2 kids 4 %26amp; 2 I she had never made a birthday party ..She says that with the money she spends she can buy toys %26amp; clothes for the kids.... In a way it migth be true but I think kids do enjoy parties , the games , cake , candy bags %26amp; the FUN %26amp; happines they express %26amp; of course they love to open the presents., besides I think if we can afford at lest a small party at a pizza place or at home to celebrate a birthday will not affect the budget at home It will fun and priceless ....How many of you think parties it just a waste of money that can be used for other things???? AND who thinks if you can afford it , at least a small b-day party to do it???? for the happines %26amp; fun of the kids....

B-Day Party !!!?
I am totally with you , girlfriend. i thing so too that kids should have a b party. you live only ones and a party is a good memory for later when you look at the pictures. Of course that the party should not exceed the family's budget, but at least a small party just has to be in there somewhere.
Reply:I think at a point you have to have party's. Even if they are just family and at home. I have a 4 and 5 year old girls, and they have family party's every birthday. Most of the time there grandma buys a cake and ice cream. But I think as they get bigger they start to make more friends. And that means you need to invite at least a couple kids to a party. This is how they learn to associate. They need to feel important also.

Reply:Just a small party might do it...

You know, to their favorite resturant, fast food place...

As long as it doesn't go over $50 for little kids, fine with me!
Reply:i dont know about a party for a 4 or 2 year old but parties for 14 nd 15z are off da huk andddd crack...lol

i think a party for a 4 or 2 year old is not a waste of money. what do you spend the maximum? maybe 30-50 dollars. isnt that worth it if your seeing your kids happy?
Reply:We had a big party for our son's 1st b-day, and this year we still had quite a few people, but not as many. We always have a small gathering for my niece, with cake and ice cream. It does not have to be a big huge production every year, but it is nice to have family around to help celebrate.
Reply:i don't think its a waste of money because everybody is having fun.Or at least the mother should prepare hem a cake and make the kids a little special celebration doesn't have to be a long b-day party. I think it's a way of saying i love u and i'm glad u were born.
Reply:We just had one for my little girl's B-Day and now that is all she talks about...especially the cake. Kids remember these things and they are special memories for them to hold on to. I say have that party...and cherish those times when they get older.
Reply:The simpler that party, the better. It for the kids to enjoy themselves. Besides, it does not cost ONE penny for that type of pure, innocent, and exciting entertainment!
Reply:If they dont believe in them why did they come.
